Mark is the Managing Director UK at Queequeg Renewables. He brings over 26 years of experience in development and construction to the team.

Queequeg’s Managing Director UK, Mark Roberts has been a key player in various UK infrastructure and defence projects. To date, he has dedicated 16 years specifically to the renewables and power generation industry. Mark previously led the development and delivery of two award-winning renewables projects, and his track record includes developing over 1GW and successfully building 600MW of renewables and power generation assets in the UK.

Can you give us a little more background on your role at Queequeg?

A
I lead and coordinate our senior team to ensure efficiency and quality. I make strategic decisions, provide leadership, and maintain clear and open communications with investors, clients, stakeholders, and executives. Supporting team members wherever needed is a priority, helping to foster a collaborative and empowered working environment. Additionally, I contribute to advancing Queequeg’s wider business interests, making sure that all of our projects are very clearly aligned with our overarching business goals.

How does your passion for renewables inform your job?

A
My passion for renewable energy stems from the constant challenges and ever-changing landscape of the industry. The fast-paced environment keeps me engaged, and I find the evolving nature of the field to be incredibly dynamic and exciting.

In our collective journey to achieve a net-zero future, I also appreciate the chance to help others. Whether it’s navigating industry shifts or finding innovative solutions, there’s a deep and quiet satisfaction in being part of a process that goes way beyond professional goals.
