A four-phase project framework
We have a simple four-phase framework that aims to reduce the time spent on each project so we can get to ‘ready to build’ (RTB) in the shortest possible period.
First, our in-house due diligence establishes if a project is going to stand the test of time before it even gets off the ground. We’re not in the business of wasting time – especially that of all our valuable partners and landowners.
Once we know a project is viable, our ‘proof of concept’ phase allows us to interact with the statutory bodies responsible for planning and grid to properly start the development process.
We all know the pain of this process plus the possible delays and planning jargon that gets thrown about. Queequeg can quickly and succinctly cut through the noise and get to the heart of any hold-up or problem. Our experience allows us to spot issues quickly and resolve these before they escalate further.
Detailed engineering, design, and planning
Our next phase is feasibility and detailed engineering and design. Our engineering team is built upon a wealth of expert knowledge and experience which means our designs are realistic and bankable. We know the designs we submit in planning are the ones that are going to be built.
Our final phase is the completion of legals and planning. It’s not a snappy name but it is the most important phase of our framework. This is where you see a huge increase in activity at the site as we prepare the planning application. We work hand in hand with local contractors to ensure each of our projects are respectful throughout the construction and operation periods.
In all our phases we have a dedicated point of contact for land, planning, engineering, and delivery. Allowing for enough resource in house ensures that each project is given the correct level of detail it requires.
